1. Park History Marker
Inscription. As a result of severe flooding, the Army Corps of Engineers created the Park River relocation plan in 1941, placing the river in a concrete tunnel under Bushnell Park. As part of this plan, the firm of Olmsted Brothers landscape architects, redesigned the Park and added the pond to emulate the prior location of the river. 'Harmony' by Charles Perry, the stainless-steel abstract design of parallel curved lines, was installed in the pond in 1990.
