on Calle de la Oliva. His pharmacy was not only a medicine dispensary, but also a bright focus of social activity, a point of convergence where numerous personalities from politics, such as Eugenio Montero Ríos, Pablo Iglesias, Diego Pazos Espés and Práxedes Mateo Sagasta, as well as from the world of arts and letters, such as Ramón María del Valle Inclán, Emilia Pardo Bazán and Miguel de Unamuno could mix.
