Buried within the fenced area are the remains of Abbie Gardner Sharp and her sons, Allen and Albert Sharp. Directly under the stone monument are the remains of Abbie Gardner's family (Roland Gardner, Francis M. Gardner, Mary Luce, Albert Luce, Amanda Luce, and Rowland Gardner, Jr.), killed near the cabin on March 8, 1857. Read the words about Abbie Gardner on the back of the memorial bench.
