Home of Simon Kenton

Here in a 20 ft. square, one-door three-window log cabin the old scout lived from 1819 to 1828.

The home, built by his children, stood on a 65 acre tract of forest land.

Additional commentary.

This marker, like several others, has been moved a couple times. What most people don't realize is, the marker is making reference to a home site about two miles north of this point. NOT here!
the site in question is the New Jerusalem farm where Kenton is buried; not between Zanesfield and Goshen Church, a place Kenton would never have lived.
