2119 E. Broad Street. c. 1885. 2119 E. Broad was originally apart of the King of England's land grant to William Byrd I and later designated as Lot 106 on the 1737 William Mayo Plan of Richmond. This frame three-bay rowhouse features a shed roof, a bracketed cornice, six-over-six sash windows with dentils and a two-story full-length front porch. Frederick B. Minson, farmer, purchased the lot in 1885 from R. H. Duesberry, purchasing agent with the Richmond and Danville Railroad and owner of 2117 E. Broad Street. The house was completed in 1885 and Willoe Gregory, wholesale grocer at 1202 E. Cary Street, was the first tenant. In 1889, Edgar M. Willis, baggage master, and Elliott F. Duesberry, printer, lived here. Other tenants were Thomas H. Stovall, proprietor of the C and O restaurant, Frank L. Butler with Montgomery and Co., and Francis M. Hollis, roadmaster. The Minson family owned the house as rental property until 1919. It is listed as a contributing strucutre of the St. John's Church Historic District on the Virginia Historic Landmarks Register and the National Register of Historic Places.
