Inscription. This scene on Fourth Street, first known as Columbia Street, depicts the important business district of minster, circa 1900. People from the surrounding area would come to trade and shop in our many fine businesses. The construction of the Miami & Erie Canal through Minster in 1843 provided a great impetus to trade and prosperity. In 1914 a great civic improvement was made.
