1. Hamilton County Marker
Inscription. Hamilton County was once the home of the Delaware Native Americans. William Conner, an early trader, acquired land from the Delaware tribe and established a trading post on the White River. While recent years have seen southern Hamilton County develop into residential suburbs of Indianapolis, farming continues to dominate the northern portion of the county.
