Inscription.  He was a legendary Mayan sovereign by the latest Classic period, who arrived from the west and was adored as a deity in Chichen Itza. There could be a relation between Kukulkan and Quetzalcoatl of the Mexica culture, but a historical connection is yet to be established. This fosters the belief that both, Quetzalcoati and K'uk’ulkan, are not historical figures, yet a mystical representation of The Savior, whose legendary strength can strike even after dead and from remote locations.

Legendario soberano maya de finales del periodo Clásico, llego de poniente y fue adorado en Chichén Itzá como divinidad. Existe una conexión con Quetzalcoatl de la cultura Mexica, aunque no se ha podido establecer una conexión histórica, de ahí que se crea que tanto Quetzalcoatl como K’uk’ulkan no se tratan de personajes históricos, sino de la figura mística del Salvador, cuya fuerza legendaria puede actuar incluso después de muerto y desde lugares remotos.
