Inscription.  Deity of the underworld. In the classic depictions, he often appears showing a small, grotesque shape and some other times an atrocious one. He is often performing a wild dance by moving his big belly, which is radically opposed to the magnificent high-society dances. It seems that the Mayans considered the God of the Death as a repulsive and not-so-clever God, to whom they could easily trick with smart rituals and strategies.

En las representaciones clásicas aparece tanto en forma diminuta y grotesca como atroz, y a veces ejecuta con su gran barriga una danza salvaje, radicalmente opuesta a las magníficas danzas de la alta sociedad. Parece ser que los mayas veían al dios de la muerte como un ser repugnante y no demasiado ingenioso, al que podían engañar fácilmente con actos de rituales y tretas inteligentes.
