Inscription. A meadow is an open field with grasses and non-woody plants. This meadow was planted by the park staff to support and protect pollinators. Its plants are mostly native—species that grew naturally in New York before European colonization. The fence around the meadow is there to protect it as a habitat for the pollinators and other critters that call it home.
