Bringing Chicago Together
Chicago extends 25 miles along Lake Michigan and 16 miles west. It spans 77 different community areas. The vast city is united by a dynamic sense of community and shared history.

What else brings people together? The city's more than 600 parks and 220 fieldhouses managed by the Chicago Park District. In 2021, an estimated 98% of Chicago residents live within a ten-minute walk of a park.
