Camp Telogia, Parkland’s “Hidden Gem”
City of Parkland
Camp Telogia is approximately 13 acres, with full cooking facilities, platform tent sites, shower facilities, and more.
Camp Telogia has served many purposes, including for Commission meetings in 1979. In 2001, during "Build Week" for Parkland's Liberty Park, AmeriCorps volunteers stayed at Camp Telogia.
In 2005, Hurricane Wilma did extensive destruction to the trees and significant damage to the structures within Camp Telogia. However, in 2007, the Girl Scouts sponsored a campaign to plant new trees, to restore what had been destroyed. In 2010, Girl Scouts gathered at Camp Telogia to honor those individuals who sponsored a tree.
