This tree is planted in honor of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources' 75th anniversary. The Division of Forestry, one of the oldest formal forestry programs in the nation, works to protect, sustainably manage, and expand Ohio's forested land. Over the past 75 years Ohio's forests have grown to nearly 8 million acres, providing numerous benefits to Ohio's environment, economy, and public health and safety.
