Parkstrasse has always been Bad Nauheim's main street. Numerous hotels, guest houses and shops were built here, as were the colonnades and the Aliceplatz. In 1859, Parkstrasse 4 offered Otto von Bismarck accommodation for a few weeks when the famous spa doctor Friedrich Beneke saved his leg and prevented it from being amputated.

Excerpt (in translation): To this day, Parkstrasse is undisputedly Bad Nauheim's most splendid mile. On one side there are numerous magnificent buildings from the turn of the century, with Aliceplatz in the middle and on the other side the beautifully landscaped spa gardens and colonnades.

Those who built and lived here undoubtedly belonged to the city's high
