On the property at Terrassenstrasse 2, the spa doctor Isidor Groedel built his sanatorium, where even Empress Auguste Victoria took a cure. him to run a casino in Bad Nauheim, he also signed the obligation to build a spa house and much more in Bad Nauheim.

But in order to build this spa house, which still stands at one end of the spa park today, Terrassenstrasse had to be built first. It was and still is the access road to the spa house.

Work on this street began in 1858 and it was difficult. So difficult that construction of the spa house could not begin until four years later.
