1. Welcome To The Wolf Creek Trail Marker
Dayton's history with cycling goes back more than 100 years, to the time when the Wright brothers were building bicycles. In the 1970s, Horace Huffman, owner of Huffy Corporation, expanded local cycling opportunities by creating the first eight-mile bikeway. Throughout the years, this bikeway was expanded, creating the first regional bikeway. Today, Five Rivers MetroParks maintains six of the bikeways within Montgomery County. Wolf Creek Trail is one of these, connecting cyclists to more than 300 miles of bikeways in the Dayton region - the nation's largest paved trail network.

Traveling southeast:
Take a break at the Route 40 rest stop and Golden Gate Park.
Ride through Brookville and see evidence of this bikeway's past life as a railroad when passing the train depot and railroad car.
Enjoy views of Sycamore State Park and take a rest at Shiloh Springs before reaching the train depot in Trotwood.
Continue southeast to end your ride at Vickwood, or follow streets to Little Richmond Road to pick up the paved Wolf 'Creek Trail again.

Ride through farmland, pastures, and areas shaded by maple, hackberry and sycamore trees.
