Inscription.
In the late 1800s, this site was owned by Somerville residents Rev. Charles Lowe and Martha Perry Lowe. The Lowes cherished Somerville's rural and farming roots and chose to keep a large portion of their land as open pasture for grazing and as a children's play area. This community garden was dedicated in 1990.
