Inscription.
Educator, scholar, mentor, environmentalist, leader, visionary, friend, gentleman of the highest integrity, and a man whose word you could trust.

Howard's passion for teaching and his love of nature were combined in an exceptional career that spanned 45 years. He was a Professor of Biology, Botany and Zoology at Keystone College, leader of the Youth Conservation Corps and Nokomis Program, founder of the Water Discovery Center, Keystone College Environmental Education Institute and Sugar Shack, and overseer of Keystone's nature trails.

In 2010, in honor of his lifelong dedication to conservation, the Professor Howard Jennings Nature Preserve was established to forever protect 40 acres within Keystone's Woodlands Campus.

His impact on countless students is immeasurable. His legacy lives on through the continuing work of those he inspired to live up to their full potential and be stewards of our natural world.
