Long Bluff
Long Bluff - named for its shape, is one of many bluffs found in this area. It is approximately 199 feet high. You are standing on Mill Bluff which is 120 feet tall.
A portion of the open land visible is an abandoned cranberry marsh. Cranberry farming is an important industry in the Warrens area, north of Tomah. It contains marshy areas similar to that found in the park and nearby areas. Early residents picked many pounds of wild cranberries which were shipped by rail from Camp Douglas to markets in Milwaukee and Madison.
