Inscription.

It took three days to bring the SS Nenana to Fairbanks from Nenana. The vessel traveled cautiously with a sounding boat out in front to test the river depth and check for sandbars. She was still hung up on a sand bar by the mouth of the Chena before she made it to Fairbanks May 21st 1957.
