Inscription.
Erected
in loving memory of
Ellen Brown
by her Buffalo friends
in grateful recognition
of the fact that she served
for seventeen years as
Boy's Work secretary
of the Y.M.C.A. of Buffalo
the first employed
by an American association

Her influence over the boys
of yesterday will live, forever
in the lives of Christian citizens
of today and tomorrow.

"That they may rest from their
labors and their works do follow them."

"They that be wise shall shine as the
brightness of the firmament, and they that
turn many to righteousness as the stars
forever and ever."

Erected by her Buffalo Friends.
