1. Milk Row Cemetery Marker
Inscription. This is the oldest burial site in Somerville, established on privately owned land in 1804. It was taken over by the City in 1892. The grounds contain a significant Civil War Soldiers Monument (1863), and tombs and graves of prominent citizens of Somerville. It was designated as a Local Historic District in 1985 and listed on the State and National Registers of Historic Places in 1988.
