1. Henlopen Acres Marker

Inscription. Part of the 'Youngs Hope' Plantation granted by Gov. Andros of New York in 1675. Peter Marsh purchased a portion & built the Homestead in 1743. From 1871 William A. Dodd and his heirs owned and farmed it. In 1929 W. S. Corkran acquired it & during three decades transformed it into a residential community of abiding beauty.
