1. Frederick Remington Marker
Inscription.
Born in Canton, NY, Remington was one of the greatest painters, sculptors and illustrators of the time. His illustrations included scenes of the Spanish-American war. His first cartoon was printed by Harper's Weekly in 1882.

A contemporary of Frederick Bourne, Remington was able to view the construction of the castle from his island studio just across the water on the island "Temagami" which he called Ingleneuk.
