1. The Fergus Falls River Walk Marker
Inscription. The River Walk was constructed in 1987-88 through the cooperative efforts of the City of Fergus Falls, the Riverfront Association, Otter Tail Power Company, and the Fergus Falls Heritage Preservation Commission. The path stretches from Veteran's Park on the east side of town to an area past Union Avenue.

In recent years the river has re-emerged as an asset to the city of Fergus Falls. Modern power demands have outgrown the river's ability to supply the city with electricity but attention now has centered on its recreational potential. Though its use has changed, the river once again contributes to the quality of life in Fergus Falls.
