This 112 acre tract is dedicated to Donald Thompson, whose productive 40-year career as a wildlife biologist and administrator with ODNR, Division of Wildlife (DOW) and Ducks Unlimited, Inc. (DU) included serving as DOW's Chief of Game Management and Director of DU's North American Habitat Program.
In 1991, Don helped secure funding to restore wetlands and other wildlife habitats at Pickerel Creek Wildlife Area with Ohio's first North American Wetlands Conservation Act grant.
