he was the first to plant
the American Colors
on the heights of Chapultepec.
He was a Color Sergeant in the 7th. Pa. Reserves
in the present war and was severely wounded
in the 7 Days Fight in front of Richmond.
Erected 1929 by Frank W. Sidler American Legion Post 40 and Concerned Citizens and Organizations.
