Inscription.
In 1948, the Red Rock Athletic and Recreation Council constructed a road to the shore of the bay establishing a beach and picnic grounds. The Fish and Game Club was not far from the beach area. In 1967, a Centennial Park Project was spearheaded by the Legion. In the 1980's, interest resurfaced-and volunteers again started working on the area. Pul-A-Log Park got its name because of all the old boom logs that had to be pulled out of the water to clean up the beach area. More improvements followed with the clearing of land, the planting of trees and flowers, and the building of an open air shelter. The park is the center of Canada Day activities and the site of the Red Rock Folk Festival, which was first held in August 2003. The Waterfront Development Committee also recognized the need for improved boating facilities. Feasibility studies were done, a master plan developed and from this it was decided that there was a need for a full service marina with space for 220 boats. In addition, the park facilities include a lighted boardwalk, playground and picnic area. The Marina officially opened on June 24, 1994.
