Inscription.
The West Lebanon waterfront at the confluence of the White and Connecticut Rivers has had a long industrial history since the arrival of European settlers. The early mills led to the railroad era that—quite literally—put West Lebanon on the map. As this image illustrates, the Westboro Rail Yard waterfront has been significantly altered over the years as the railroad and village have grown. Today, much of the rail yard bears the contaminated history of this era, and a sewer line runs underground along the waterfront. The Greenway and Westboro Park will reimagine this industrial heritage and infrastructure to provide for public access and recreation.
