up in 1998 by the architect B. Mouton, materializes the buried buildings: the churches of Saint-Barthélemy, Saint-Michel-du-Charnier, Saint-Pierre, as well as the rotunda of the Valois. Built between 1572 and 1586 at the request of Catherine de Medici, to house her tomb and that of King Henry II, her husband, the unfinished building, threatening ruin, was demolished in 1719. The name given to this complex comes from the architect Pierre de Montreuil, one of the authors of the enlargement of the basilica in the 13th century, who contributed through his work to the development of the Rayonnant Gothic style.

Created in 1998, it is attached to the north side of the cathedral basilica and bordered by the Walk of 6 Chapels.

It offers a beautiful view of the north portal with a carved tympanum depicting the story of St. Denis, beheaded in the 3rd century by the Roman soldiers.

It bears the name of the architect who built the basilica in the 13th century. The so-called Chapel "Valois", disappeared in the 18th century is marked by rows of boxwood.
