Phil Sheridan Post 615's memorial is about 500 feet north of here in section 17. Its memorial also doubles as the gravesite for one of its members, Wilbur Crummer, whose name is included on this plaque. The other post with a memorial at Forest Home is Columbia Post 706, in section 43. While it's only about Ό-mile northwest of this location as the crow flies, the bridge over the Des Plaines is closed as of January 2025, and the only way to access it from here is to leave the cemetery and re-enter it on 1st Avenue.
