This park is dedicated to J.B. Tolbert, M.D. In recognition of his many years of faithful service to the town of Mountain View.
J.B. Tolbert, M.D., practiced medicine in Mountain View from July 1947 until his death in July 1988. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma school of Medicine in 1943 and served in the U.S. Army from 1944 until 1946. He was a long-time member of the Rotary Club and the Masonic Lodge, had served on the school board, and was a former Mayor of Mountain View.
