1. Dr. Charles Alexander Warfield Marker

Inscription. The grave of this Revolutionary War patriot is near this site. A member of the Sons of Liberty, he participated in the burning of the brig “Peggy Stewart,” at Annapolis, October 19, 1774, and also served as a major in the Elkridge Battalion during the war.

Erected 1969 by Colonel Thomas Dorsey Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

1. This marker is missing
I have searched for this marker several times through 2008 and cannot find it. I drive past the intersection of Carrs Mill Rd and Roxbury Mill Rd on my way to and from work and after several attempts to find this marker I still cannot locate it.

2. Dr. Warfield's Gravesite

The gravesite is half a mile west of the marker on Carrs Mill Road (south side) located on private property, but visible from the roadway.

There is a new elementary school (Bushy Park Elementary) where this marker is said to be located and I believe the marker was removed when the school was built. I have found the grave site and combed the area around the marker's supposed location but cannot find it anywhere. Note To Editor only visible by Contributor and editor
