Alabama Bicentennial Park is a legacy of Alabama's 200th anniversary of statehood, commemorated between March 3, 2017, and December 14, 2019. Made possible with financial support from the Alabama Building Renovation Finance Authority and the Alabama Legislature, it is designed to inspire understanding and appreciation of our history and commitment to fulfilling the promise of our future.

Collaborating partners include Alabama Department of Archives & History, Alabama Department of Finance and divisions of Real Property Management and Construction Management, Alabama Historical Commission, Alabama State Council on the Arts Montgomery Area Business Committee for the Arts, and City of Montgomery and Mayor Todd Strange.

Alabama Bicentennial Park's sixteen bronze relief sculptures were created by artist Caleb O'Connor, O'Connor Art Studios, with fabrication by Craig Wedderspoon of the University of Alabama and text design by Jonathan Cumberland. Goodwyn, Mills & Cawood, Inc., served as Landscape Architect and Burton Mac,
