[Français] De 1997 à 1999, d'importants travaux de réhabilitation des hangars 7, 8, 9 et 10 sont réalisés sur le Quai King-Edward afin de permettre l'inauguration du Centre des sciences de Montréal le 1er mai 2000. Aujourd'hui l'un des plus grands centres de science au Canada et lieu emblématique de la culture scientifique, il accueille annuellement 600 000 visiteurs et visiteuses.

[English] From 1997 to 1999, major rehabilitation work helped restore hangars 7, 8, 9 and 10 on King Edward Pier and paved the way for the inauguration of the Montréal Science Centre on May 1st, 2000. Welcoming 600,000 visitors annually, it is today one of the largest science centres in Canada and a beacon of scientific literacy.
