Above your head is open part of Philadelphia Zoo's Zoo360 trail system. This first-in-the-world system of overhead, round level, and aquatic trails was created in 2012 and has been expanding ever since. But the idea began back in 2006 right here in Big Cat Falls!

Plans for this award-winning habitat included a network of overhead enclosed pathways that our cats could use to get from one area to another. This allowed us to move cats easily from place to place and created a brand new experience for our cats, who often enjoy being up high.

Building the Zoo360 trail system allowed us to expand in a completely new direction—up! This allows us to create a 'bigger' zoo despite being confined on all sides of our campus. Most importantly, it gives our animals the opportunity to explore in a way that they can only do here at Philadelphia Zoo.
