Where's the red panda?
Where's the red panda?
As with all our Zoo360 experiences, our animals time-share and rotate through this system of choice and exploration. Some days you may see our red pandas in front of you, while other days you will see them above or behind you.
Zoo360 around the world
The expansion of the animal exploration provided by Zoo360 goes even beyond our walls. Many zoos around the world have recently created animal habitats that were inspired by Zoo360 here at Philadelphia Zoo.
Tracking the benefits of Zoo360
Over the past several years, the Zoo has been studying the impact of Zoo360 for our animals. A PhD researcher has used a variety of behavioral methodologies to assess well-being and "ask" the animals if they value the opportunity to use Zoo360. These are hard questions to answer clearly, but there are several lines of evidence indicating that Zoo360 is doing just what we want it to docreating positive and "valued" opportunities for our monkeys, cats and other animals.
