Ashtabula in Ashtabula County, Ohio — The American Midwest (Great Lakes)
A Successful River Restoration
As a result of significant remediation and restoration efforts, the Ashtabula River is once again able to live up to its Indigenous name, the "river of many fish." It now supports a healthy mix of recreational, commercial, and industrial users, and its clean water and sediment will enable our community to enjoy this precious natural resource well into the future.
