Inscription. Commemorating the 350th Anniversary at Berkeley Hundred, Virginia, of the first official Thanksgiving Day in America, which was ordained by the proprietors of Berkeley Hundred to be observed annually, beginning in December 1619 when Captain John Woodleefe with the thirty-five settlers arrived on the ship, "Margaret," at Berkeley Hundred, Virginia.
