This plaque commemorates the important role played by Atmospheric Environment Service meteorologists in providing essential weather support to Canadian Forces units serving NATO in France and Germany from 1952-1993. The meteorologists served as CF meteorological officers (Meto-73A) on short service commission with the Regular Force and, later, on Class C Reserve service. Cette plaque commémore le role important joué par les météorologues du service de l'environnement atmospherique en assurant un soutien essentiel aux unités des Forces canadiennes affectées à l'OTAN en France et en Allemagne de 1952-1993. Les météorologues ont servi comme officiers météorologiques (Meto-73a) avec brevet de courte durée de la force régulière et, plus tard, en service de réserve classe C.
