Inscription. Before she ever got to Hollywood actress Katy Jurado had already won the equivalent of the Academy Award in her native Mexico. Katy was nominated for the Oscar for her role in "High Noon" with Gary Cooper. With continuous filming in Kanab's hey day of the 1950's, sooner or later you would find yourself on location here. In 1957 Katy was in town for her role in "Dragon Wells Massacre" Allied Artists Productions also adding Barry Sullivan, Dennis O'Keefe and Mona Freeman
