1st Lt. Ashley I. White, age 24, a three year Army Veteran, was commissioned as a Medical Service Corps Officer in the Army in December of 2009. Ashley was killed during combat operations during Operation Enduring Freedom in Kandahar Province, Afghanistan. She was serving the 275th Ranger Regimen, Special Operations TASC Force as a CSI, Fort Brag, NC. The daughter of Robert and Deborah White was born in Akron, OH. She graduated from Marlington High School in 2005 where she ran Cross Country and Track. Ashley enjoyed running marathons. She graduated from Kent State University in 2009. Ashley is survived by her husband Jason Stumpf, her parents, her twin sister Brittany White, and her brother Josh White. She is buried at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery in Randolph, OH.
