Inscription.
For centuries, the Chesapeake Bay has shaped life along its waterways. Rich in natural resources, with extensive rivers that served as highway for travel and commerce, the Bay's environment has fostered human habitation, culture, and industry from the times of our earliest Native Peoples to present day.

The environmental awakening of the 20th century meant a growing appreciation for the Bay's productivity, beauty — and fragility. More than ever, we are drawn to its tributaries to swim, boat, and play, even as our concern grows about protecting those waterways.

Echo Hill Outdoor School believes that Chesapeake stewardship starts early. By providing children with positive on-the-water experiences, we inspire a love of the Bay environment for this generation — in order to preserve it for the next.
