1. Room with a View Marker
Inscription.
Look up at the dark rock formation jutting out of the hillside. It is one of the many rock shelters discovered throughout the Chattahoochee River Valley. With a sweeping view of the river, it afforded basic refuge from the elements.

People have used these natural overhangs as temporary shelters for centuries. There is evidence of occupation here dating back to the Woodland period from 1000 B.C. to AD 900.
