1. Coming Home/Le retour au pays Marker
Princess Margriet has returned to Ottawa numerous times. On her first trip, she visited the Ottawa Civic Hospital, where she talked to nurses who attended her birth. The Princess has also unveiled plaques and monuments, and been a guest of honour at many Canadian Tulip Festivals. Princess Margriet has made a point of recognizing veterans in the Capital, meeting and chatting with them and paying tribute by laying wreaths at local monuments.

La princesse Margriet est revenue à Ottawa plusieurs fois. Lors de son premier voyage, elle a visité l'Hôpital Civic d'Ottawa où elle a parlé aux infirmières qui ont assisté à sa naissance. La princesse a aussi dévoilé des plaques et des monuments en plus d'être l'invitée d'honneur du Festival canadien des tulipes à plusieurs occasions. Elle a tenu à reconnaître les anciens combattants dans la capitale, à les rencontrer, à discuter avec eux et à leur rendre hommage en déposant des couronnes au pied des monuments de la région.
