1. Lock Haven University Nature Trail Marker

In the early 1930s the LHU Naturalist Club blazed a nature trail that runs through the woods on the hill above you. In 2014 the Environmental Focus Group restored this trail.
The trail is a 1.5 mile loop that takes about 40 minutes to complete. If you go clockwise, up the step to McEntire Hall, the steepest climb is at the beginning; after that the trail is mostly level.
Throughout the red-blazed trail there are interpretive plaques that explain the natural and cultural history of the campus. At the end of the trail is the foundation of the Naturalist Cabin.
