1. Early Lititz Burial Site Marker

Inscription. On this burial site lie the remains of some of Lititz's earliest residents. In 1744, John George Klein gave permission to build on his land the St. James Church, a small log structure to be used as a "Union" church by the Lutheran Reformed, Mennonite and Moravian settlers of Warwick Township. This church was the first built after Count Von Zinzendorf's visit in 1742 and 12 years before the town of Lititz was established in 1756.
