Meetings are held in nearby houses, as a church has not yet been built., 1810 , The Indian Creek Regular Baptist Church is formally organized in the cabin of John Morris. The church has 22 members., 1811 , A log church building is constructed on this site. The land was purchased from Valentine Chase, for whom Chase's Run is named., 1812 , The church declares that it "Will not receive members in to the church who hold the principle of slavery supported by the Word of God.", 1829 , The brick church which now stands on this site is completed., 1830 , Church membership reaches 150, and the Indian Creek Cemetery Association is formed., 1860 , The congregation splits because of differing opinions about church doctrine.
