1. SunWatch Marker

Inscription. The DSNH excavated approximately 60% of the village between 1971 and 1989. Excavations of SunWatch revealed at least 19 structures, 308 storage/trash pits, numerous thermal features, three separate sequences of stockades, several possible sweat lodges, and a central pole complex surrounded by a plaza. Public interest continued to grow and plans for village reconstructions and an interpretive museum were pursued.
