A. Barn, 1903
This 50'x35' building featured two garage doors and was used to store trucks, fertilizer and agricultural tools.
B. Garage/Storehouse, 1928
Vehicles were stored in this structure alongside items used by plant explorers. Today, this building is the Museum Store.
C. Slat House, 1925
One of several structures constructed to grow young plants, the slat house was approximately 45'x90' and held thousands of seedlings.
D. Drying Shed, 1928
This 8' square building contained a drying oven, used to dry plants to prepare them for chemical processing inside the laboratory.
E. Laboratory, 1928
Designed by architect Nat Galliard, this structure was headquarters for the search for natural rubber.
F. Concrete Vault, 1928
A 9'x10' single-pour structure built out of Edison Portland Cement, the vault was used to store chemicals and important documents.
